I believe in Spring Awakening!

London has been absolutely spectacular thus far! Before our first day of class the other Marquette girls and I decided to venture around and check out the shopping scene. It seems as though it will be more than satisfactory.
Class has also been fantastic so far. The professor has basically done everything imaginable, and those are exactly the kind of teachers I like.

This morning we went to the London version of the Time Square ticket booth and got half price tickets for 19th row center to Spring Awakening. The show was INCREDIBLE. Absolutely beautiful. To my harlequins, I just wish I'd seen it with you because I know you would have appreciated every moment of it so much. It was slightly more depressing than I anticipated... we're talking what you get when you mix Rent, Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story, and Les Mis. (an incredible endorsement i just gave, but honestly well worth it.) The lighting was so unique, and the symbolism behind everything was cool, and would probably take seeing it at least ten times to really grasp.

And to finish this evening we went to a bar that was built around a tree! Imagine a tree house for grown ups and you kind of have the idea. Very cool, and lots of fun. (don't worry mom, our 30-year-old former air force grad student father of an 8-year-old girl was with us).

and now life lesson of the day from becky moylan:
whatever you take out of your suitcase for the sake of the 50 pound weight limit will be what you want to wear every day, particularly a trench coat.

e-mail/tweet/fb/ smoke stack message me friends!

SERIOUSLY. Not a day goes by that I don't wish I had a trench coat here!

I also debate buying one almost every day... but for some reason, never do?

I've been to that bar! So cool! It felt like we were in a tree house.
