Second star to the right, and straight on till morning

We'll see if anyone ever actually reads this, but I thought I should at least have somewhere to keep people (or at least my parents) up to date with what I am learning this summer.

On May 18 I am making my way across the Atlantic Ocean for the second time this year (and the second time in my life) to take an International PR class in London. The first was to go to Kenya over this past Christmas Break, and that worked out pretty well so I have high hopes for London as well. And I will admit one of the highlights of going to Kenya was the day of layover I spent bashing (...or freezing my butt off more accurately) in London.

I basically applied to this on a whim, instead of studying for my Media Law midterm. And after a crazy stint on the waitlist I was accepted. Of course after days of panicked deliberation and taking a look at London Theatre websites I decided to attend. I also considered my love of The Beatles, The Parent Trap, Paddington Bear, Harry Potter, fish and chips, Peter Pan, Prince William, and the candy my mom always brought back from london on business trips as good indicators that perhaps I should take this opportunity, as well. And the best part will be that they have Tim Horton's!! (the worst being I am far from anyone who cares about marquette basketball and Kopp's custard)

And for the second half of the summer I shall be interning for a senator from the midwest on the Hill in D.C. as a press intern. (Please do not tell my grandma he is a democrat). D.C. has been a dream of mine since freshman year, and I am very exited to have this opportunity.
